Audi F1 GMBH has announced they will be closing contract negotiations with the “SONNY HAYES” of RC, John Hicks. Hicks, of LEMO Carpet Racing notoriety, will come out of asphalt retirement to compete in the illustrious RCFIA series for 2026, bringing wisdom and smooth speed to an already ripe racing program. John Hicks commented, “Yeah.. I guess why not?” when asked if he would join the team for 2026. Jason Portman, seasoned Audi veteran, will be communicating with the team via live satellite during all racing events, bringing his keen observation skills and setup prowess, while helping maintain team morale. The 2026 RC-FIA welcomes the new Audi F1 team of Ian Douglass and John Hicks!
